Shotgun Style

I've watched this quite a few times now and I still don't know what to make of it. The best I can come up with is a kind of awe...

Shotgun Style

I don't really know where to begin, but let's start with the lady's attitude. The girl clearly doesn't give a fuck. From the jaunty angle of her helmet to the way she is completely unfazed by the cameraman, this girl exudes confidence.

Why? Well maybe it's because she's secure and comfortable, perched on her USA Freedom custom seat cover? Nah, that's probably not it.

Or maybe it's because of her custom cow-skull, mounted to the front of her scooter warning other motorists to stay the fuck out of her way? Probably, this helps.

And undoubtedly her self-assurance is enhanced by the presence of her reconnaissance parakeet, scanning the road ahead for diversions, traffic jams, ambushes and suchlike.

But I suspect her carefree demeanor is largely due to the two shotguns, rifle and musket mounted to her scooter.

I don't know if all this is pure self expression, some kind of reference to Americana (cow-horns, guns etc.) or if the lady actually has a practical application for a parakeet and an arsenal of weaponry (though I suspect the musket/parakeet combo may be a sort of pirate affectation - Adam Ant is kicking himself 'cos he never thought of this for his scooter)*.

In any case, I'm awestruck.

And slightly jealous. Because I've just realised that what I've really, really been missing all these years... is a shotty fixed to my bike.

*The musket may in fact, have the practical application of keeping the parrot in line.
