Africa Twin

EICMA 2014 opened its doors yesterday and the first pictures of the new Africa Twin are beginning to appear on the internet.

A lot of people are quite excited about this, myself included.

It looks quite a lot like the old RD07 Africa Twin but with a parallel twin motor rather than the original vee-twin arrangement. And it looks to me like it has a proper 21" off-road front wheel (however I read somewhere that it has a 19" front wheel so I'm not sure). Also, the belly pan looks pretty small compared to the distinctive wrap around belly pan on the RD04 and 07.

All in all, it looks pretty capable. Anyway, if you're wondering what all the fuss is about, take a look at this...

EICMA 2013 - Cortesi 650cc Scooter

I don't have very much information on this. I did speak to the guy on the stand but he wasn't very forthcoming.

Essentially, it's some kind of (very small) scooter with an air-cooled, four valve, single cylinder motor from a Honda NX650 Dominator. 

I'd imagine it's pretty quick off the mark - provided you can stop it from looping...
