Yoshimura Buell Adapter (Part 3)

Well it's done and I'm very pleased with it. The standard pipe made a sort of BLAAART! noise. This is a much more precise noise. It's a sort concise CRUMP! like artillery shells falling from heaven.

It's the sort of satisfying noise that Ducatis make, only nicer. And without all the irritating rattles that come with Ducati dry clutches.

It's a noise that suits the character of the Buell very well.

And there's a movie clip here... http://www.mercenary.ie/2015/02/bass-note.html

Mercenary Garage - Yoshimura Buell Adapter
It needs a jubilee clip and some Yoshimura stickers on the can. And it needs a good clean after sitting on the bench so long.

The pipe-wrap covers up the tarnished pipework and hides my less-than-perfect welding. And hopefully it'll stop the thing from cooking my right leg in summer traffic.

It's a relief to get it down off the bench. My head feels lighter not having it hanging around.

The Cyrillic writing  reads 'Hooligan'. Which is Russian for Hooligan. Really!
