It's not widely known, but the song This Corrosion (1987) was written about Patricia Morrison's struggles with maintaining the finish on her Yamaha Virago in the damp British climate.
Like many of her contemporaries, toward the end of the '80s Morrison would give up in frustration, purchase a tin of Rustins Matt Black Finishing Paint and enthusiastically embrace the UK Rat and Survival Bike scene.
She would also turn her back on the music industry in favour of the road-warrior life of a motorcycle courier.
