When I was a courier I used to hate Friday evenings. This was the busiest and most dangerous time of the week as companies tried to wrap up that week's business and send stuff to print or to the bank or to their client or whatever.
It meant riding in an environment of rushing traffic, under more time pressure than usual as businesses closed early and everyone tried to get home for the weekend.
Most of the crashes I had, and most of the really serious crashes of other couriers I knew, took place on Friday evenings. Most people look forward to Friday evening but for me, Fridays were fraught...
