Evan dropped out today with his GPZ with the intention of setting up his new carbs.
But we couldn't get the thing to run properly at all. There appeared to be an elusive electrical problem which we tracked down to the spark-plugs. We eventually concluded that there's oil getting into the combustion chamber past the piston rings, the valve seals or both, and the oil is killing the spark-plugs.
It's strange. The plugs look okay, they just don't work anymore. Replace the plugs and the motor runs okay, only to lunch the new spark-plugs.
It looks like a top-end rebuild is in order...
